I finished Clue #8 of the “Frolic” mystery quilt from Bonnie Hunter’s Quiltville site.
It was another easy clue to make flying geese out of pieces we had already cut out.
So while I wait for the next clue I starting working on another quilt. (I know, I know! I can’t help myself!)
So, I was waiting to pay at the store recently and the February 2020 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine was right there so of course I grabbed it and brought it home. There was an adorable house quilt pattern in there that I fell in love with.
It’s called “Home Made” and it’s designed by Monique Jacobs. The blocks are really big and homey looking. The quilt is made with flannels but I decided just to use the fabrics I have in my stash. I thought I would make one block but they go together quickly and are addictive.
There are only 16 blocks in the quilt so I have almost half done.
The houses in the pattern are turned all different directions but I’m not sure I want to do that. I think you could also just have the houses upright.
This quilt will be the perfect gift for someone in my life. I just need to find the perfect striped fabric for the sashing and a pretty focus fabric for the large border.
